Telehandlers

What is telehandler?

A telehandler is type of vertically mounted telescopic boom, on a rough terrain chassis, that can be fitted with a variety of different equipment, including a lifting attachment. It is a cross between a forklift and a crane, but with the addition of a boom.

The most common application is to move loads to and from places unreachable for a conventional forklift and they are widely used in construction and agriculture.

They are also known as telescopic handlers, boom lifts or teleporters.

Benefits of telehandlers

As they can be used with multiple different attachments, telehandlers are very versatile and can be used in a wide number or situations.

Unlike traditional forklifts, telehandlers can transport materials up to hard to reach areas.

The machines are often mounted on a four wheel drive chassis, which means they can provide increased lift heights.

They are well equipped to handle challenging terrain.

Telehandlers have high levels of manoeuvrability and are able to move both easily and quickly.
